Hello,

I understand your concern. Smoking weed in pregnancy, also not very well documented, has shown to have lasting effects on the development and well being of the child.
Studies have shown that babies of mothers who have smoked marijuana during pregnancy tend to have low birth weight and smaller heads. Also, smoking weed is related to more complications during birth.
Other studies have shown that preschool age children of mothers who have smoked weed during pregnancy score lower on memory tests.
I would advise you to give up smoking right away and try to adapt a healthier and more stress free lifestyle.
In order to make better choices for your baby and give him/her a fair opportunity to good start in life, I recommend you make healthier diet changes, such as including more fruit and veg in your diet, drink more water to keep your body hydrated and also to speed up the flushing of weed out of your system, be more physically active and give yoga a try. Yoga will give your pregnant mind and body the calm and relaxation it needs in preparation for birth.
Please try to implement this advice as soon as possible in order to avoid any risk of your baby taken away at birth. This is the best thing you can do for your baby and yourself.

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy and all the best.
