Will My Breakthrough Bleeding Stop Immediately?
I have been taking levlen 30 ed for around one year. Around a month ago I had breakthrough bleeding, my doctor ultra sounded me and found nothing wrong so he said continue to take the pills each day but double your dose for 4 days. I doubled my dose and the breakthrough bleeding stopped- although when I went back to one per day it started again so I continuously took 2x levlen 30 each day for one month. A week ago I began to take levlen 30 once daily again- breakthrough bleeding occurred. My doctor prescribed me mycrogynon 50Ed which I will start tomorrow. Will this contraceptive be effective straight away? And will my breakthrough bleeding stop immediately?

The breakthrough bleed will stop by itself in few days.
If the bleeding is severe, you can take Tranexemic acid or Ethamsylate to control bleeding.
