Hello and welcome, I competely understand the issue. If you attempt pregnancy now, most likely you will require insulin right from the beginning as pregnancy itself causes a diabetes like state which becomes more manifested in people who are already diabetic. Also you may need higher doses than in previous pregnancy. If the sugars are well controlled throughout the pregnancy then there should not be any issues for you as well as the baby. Everything depends upon the sugar levels. If they are controlled there are no risks. A proper diabetic diet and regular exercise will help keep the sugars down.
