Will Hearing Aid Damages The Ear?

I’m 23 yr old male. I ve been suffering hearing disability (approx. 48 %) due to a fever, when I was 6 or 7 yrs old. Doctor said that weak cochlea is the reason for the hearing disability and it is not cured by any treatment, but a chance for improvement in hearing ability as I growing. Not only that I’ve been suffering Sinusitis for the past 8 yrs. So the block of Eustachian tube also affects hearing. I had used some medicine, but no result. Once I’ve used hearing aid but it made pain to the ear. Will hearing aid damage to the ear? Is programmed hearing aid Favourable to my condition? Is there any treatment for solve this problem? Which is the best choice to me? I have no problem with normal communication with normal sound.

hello

Yes a programmed hearing aid will be definitely useful for you. Please dont worry it will not damage your ear. The cause for the eustachian tube dysfunction has to be looked for and once that is known , you can be treated accordingly. Please discuss this with your ent doctor. thanks
