But child can get infection from mother if mother is having Pulmonary tuberculosis. Actually Pulmonary tb Patient when coughs, discharge TB bacilli in the environment. In the environment these bacilli contain in droplets. These droplets can be inhaled by normal family members and can produce tubercular infection in lungs.
