Will I Have Side Effects Using Betnasol Forte For Long Time?

hi my name is kinjal... and i am from india . i am suffering from lycunplanus skin disorder since ten yrs. my skin specialist suggested me betnasol forte... whenever i take this medicine .. i feel relief but as soon as i stop this medicine it again occurs.... kindly sugget me is there any serious side effect in long term of betnasol forte...thanks

Hi Kinjal,

I am quite empathetic to your problem of Lichen planus. Your skin specialist has rightly suggested you betnesol tablet and is treatment of choice for the same in all the acute situations. But 10 years is quite a long period of time since the lichen planus condition is present and accordingly if you are taking the tablet of betnesol for 10 years is total injustice to your body.

There are certain other immunomodulator drugs which can be tried in between and if at betnesol is given then a supportive therapy is always given to counteract the side effects of betnesol.

You can post a query with complete details of age, occupation and complete history of your lichen planus condition along with treatment history and any other complaints along with good resolution picture to me so that I can analyze the situation and help you best.
