Will Gynecosid Taken Within A Day After Sex Help Avoid Pregnancy When Taken 3 Months Postpartum?

Hi doctor. I had unprotected sex last night. My first baby is 3 months old. That was our first intercourse after baby. I took medicine gynecosid within 15 to 16 hour. Will this pill works?? After baby birth still don t get my first period. I m afraid I don t want to pregnant. Tell me plz if I am safe?

Hi,

Gynaecosid is meant to treat absent periods for a long time. It does not have any effect on ovulation prevention and prevent pregnancy. It will cause bleeding if there is no conception / can be due to lactational amenorrhea.
