Why The Blood Vessel In The Ear Is Swollen And Having A Strep Throat?

My son age six has a swollen blood vessel in his ear, had strep throat and on antibiotic for 10 days Dr. didn t see or mention it ,went in for a asthma flare up yesterday with his respiratory Dr.,he said the not to be concerned..should I be concerned and have it rechecked with his pediatrician ?

Hi... Swollen blood vessel in the ear could be a small capillary hemangioma, if it had been there since birth. But sudden appearance of swollen blood vessel anywhere in the body is not normal. I suggest that you consult your kids pediatrician For this. If it is there on the ear drum then it signifies infectious process.
