Why Sugar Level Is Not Coming Down With Medicine?

My husband s blood sugar level has been between 380 and 480 for the past two weeks. His doctor increased his insulin but it has not changed anything yet. I am very worried about him and do not know what to do for him or what to look for as far as symptoms go. What could happen next?
