My husband 40y black male has been experiencing chest pains for several days now, His EKG and vital signs are fine at this time. Although, his B/P was 200+/100+ during this episode. Hx: asthma, part of one lung missing or inoperable (according to his mother).

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Since your husband is having high blood pressure , we need to first rule out cardiac cause for his chest pain.
So get done
1. 2d echo
2. Stress test.
Many times ECG can be normal but we can pick up cardiac problem by above 2 investigations.
If both of the above are normal then no need to worry for cardiac cause.
He is also having asthma and one lung fibrosis. So consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Chest x ray
2. PFT (pulmonary function test)
So better to first diagnose him and then start appropriate treatment.
