Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am one week post op for endoscopic cholecystectomy. I feel that I am healing well, banadages are off and the inscisions look good, but I find digesting meat to still be quite painful, and anything remotely spicy causes pain for an hour of more after eating. How long will this last? Is this typical? When can I return to doing yoga?
You can start doing yoga now because already week has gone since the procedure done, in diet try to avoid taking heavy meal high-calorie diet, spicy diet else this may cause the dyspepsia for sure, and it would be the case for rest of life a patient with cholecystectomy need to avoid the heavy meal high-calorie diet, once in a while it can be taken in little amount, eat more vegetable, fruits, and light diet with fewer calories and low fat.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
