Why Do I Have High Temp At My Ovulation?

I have higher temperature at my ovulation and before my period. This can build up to 2 weeks with 99,5 F. It begins to rise round 11am, and goes down to 6 pm to normal. I feel very tired and generall unwell. I was checked out by gyneologist, I am perfectly fine, I had general lab test, that was also ok.

Hi.
I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

During ovulation, changes in the hormone progesterone levels leads to increase in body temperature & before your menstrual cycle, drop in hormone levels leads to decrease in temperature.

If you are pregnant, sustained higher level of progesteron is reported which might cause rise in body temperature.

Before ovulation, temperature ranges between between 97°F and 97.5°F . After ovulation, it rises to 97.6°F to 98.6°F. Thus your temperature rises and stays up for several days.

Such changes are the normal physiological process & nothing to worry about it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
