Why do i get pain in the head and nose after heavy exercise ?

While jogging and for several hours, sometimes even days after every time I breath in through my nose on the left nostril it feels like it goes right up onto the brain and sends a tingling sensation across the upper left of my head above the ear and down around to the bottom left base of the skull.

ENT Specialist Dr. Naveen Kumar's  Response
Hi Josh,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum
It is normal for the air to move freely during exercise because the normal congestion in the nose is decreased during exercises, as there is even distribution of blood in the body. Hence the air blast increases during breathing and more so in those individuals whose nostrils are more patent. No need to worry, this is a normal phenomenon.

I was working out and had a 45 pound bar over my head doing shoulder presses. I was letting the bar down and I heard a popping sound in my shoulder causing a lot of pain. Not thinking much of it I tried my workout one more time and sure enough, it happened again. I decided to just do squats with a 20 pound bar and when I was done I was going to put it away over my head and my shoulder popped again, but hurt much more than the last time. The pain is worse when I move it up and has been doing it for 9 hours now. What is causing the pain and why

After doing 25 minutes of moderate walking I get heavy headed. I thought it was heightened BP even though I m not walking very fast. My pulse during this feeling when I took it today was only 72 beats per min. When I got home I took my BP after resting short while and it ws 118/78 . This feeling will last for about 1/2 hour after stopping exercise. My latest blood work shows my total cholesteral 202 (down from 264 six months ago), without taking any medication. My CRP is 1.5 (which was consistently coming in at 4.5 ). Seems like everything except my triclycerides (which are just touching the high zone) are all good since losing 15 lbs. I m 65 and was always active all my life except the past 2 years I have sufferred from headaches which a neurologist diagnosed after an MRI of head and neck, as most likely the being the occipital nerve causing pain due to tight muscles. I always seem to carry stress in my shoulders and my posture has been compromised. Could the heaviness in the head be a symptom resultng from bad posture or worse: something related to circulation, or heart .?
