My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a year now and it was not a success. I just started to see an OB/GYN to evaluate myself and making sure I m ok and from what my doctor says I m fine, my egg levels are great and after using the ovulation kit it is showing that I am ovulating each month. My husband also just recently went to an Urologist who specialist in fertility and after a physical examination of my husband the doctor said he couldn’t feel my husband s vas deferens. He also mentioned that since the vas deferens is form from the same tissue as the kidneys, the doctor is afraid my husband could possibly have one kidney. He did order an ultra sound to confirm how many kidney my husband have and from what I can see on the screen my husband have two. I have done some research and a man without a vas deferens can be genetics but no one in my husband s family have problem with fertility. So I wonder how could it possibly be. I am wondering how does the vas deferens feel like and could it possibly be that the doctor miss it.

Hello, my left vas deferens are very enlarged/swollen - from where it attaches to the testicle all the way up to the top of the scrotum - it almost feels like a big tangled mess. There is no pain, but they are quite significantly enlarged and I am worried about what the cause could be.

I had a vasectomy 2 weeks ago. The vas deferens and testicle on the opposite side of the incision are swollen and the vas deferens is swollen. My specialist says it is just a build up of sperm. But, i am unsure why only one side is swollen if that is the case? I am 38, and otherwise in good health.
