Why Are My Ribs Popping Out Of My Back In The Left Shoulder Blade Area?
Hi I had a mining accident in 2002. My ribs have been popping out of my back in the left shoulder blade area. Not one doctor has ever told me what it is. It s pretty painful and happens frequently. I had major shoulder surgery last May because the MRI was misread in 2004 and I have a neck injury also as a result of the fall. I fell sideways and basically tore everything. I was told it was Hypermobility? I have all of the medical reports as well to better explain.
As you have all the reports you can share the same in detailed so we can understand what went wrong. For now it looks that due to weakness in the muscles of the upper back there is malalignment or the ribs and have become prominent.
With regular breathing exercises and stability exercise for the shoulder joint will help improve the muscle coordination and also improve the pain levels. Using cervical collar will be advised for the nerve injury to avoid stress and strain over the muscles.
