Why Are My Neutrophils Alway Elevated?

You are a rheumatologist correct...

I have a positive ANA of 1:160 HOMOGENUOUS AND A POSITIVE RF BUT DO NOT HAVE A RF TITER? WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS? i HAVE BEEN SICK FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS NOW WITH ALL DIFFERENT SYMPTOMS. IN GENERAL MY WBC WHEN THIS ALL STARTED JUMPED TO 16 AND HAS BEEN GOING DOWN AND IS NOT AT 7 AND DROPS EVERYTIME WE CHECK IT. MY NEUTROPHILS ARE ALWAYS ELEVATED AND MY LYMPHS ARE ALWAYS LOW. WHAT COULD BE GOING ON. ALSO, I HAVE RAN A CONSTANT 99 TO 100 FEVER FOR MONTHS NOW.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Neutrophils are most commonly elevated in cases of bacterial infection.
Associated fever further support bacterial infection.
Thus, focus of infection has to be found out and thus treated with appropriate antibiotics.
However, there are other causes of elevated neutrophils, common one being neoplastic condition e.g. chronic neutrophilic leukemia (CNL).
CNL is characterized by elevated neutrophils.
However, CNL can be diagnosed only when other causes of neutrophilia are ruled out.

Thanks and take care
