Why Am I Having Intense Burning Sensation Under A Hysterectomy Incision Site?
I have just had a hysterectomy almost 3 weeks ago - I am 47 I am 5 5 and weigh around 190 -195 .I lost 20 pounds prior to my abdominal hysterectomy and will be loosing another 40 - I am a very muscular person and have a very active job. I am diabetic and take medication ? why am I having intermittent somewhat intense burning under my incision site? there is no infection - just slight heat and burning on occasion for no reason ?

Pain and discomfort is quite common after a surgical procedure.
As of now you can try analgesics like Tramadol or Gabapentin for pain relief. If symptoms are severe consult your surgeon and get evaluated.
