Why Am I Having High Fever From Past One Week?

I have been sick for a full week. I have a fever of 102-103.5. Tired. I do get headaches once in a while. Trying to keep hydrated. Been to a clinic, ears, nose, and throat were good. Lungs were good. He said to rest for a day. That was Monday. Appetite is slightly lower-depending on the fever.

Fever is most commonly due to Infection. Infection could be due to Bacterial or viral or rarely fungal causes.

Most of the time viral fevers are self limiting and will resolve in 3-5 days , so since you are having fever for a week it is most likely Bacterial infection and requires Antibiotic Course .

Antibiotics shall be given once it is diagnosed which bacteria has infected you . This requires certain Blood and urine test like Complete Hemogram , IgM Typhi Dot, Smear for Malaria , Urine Routine .

So kindly consult a doctor and get these tests done , and Antibioitics will be started as per test reports.
