Why am I experiencing irregular heartbeats and chest pains ?

I'm 20 years old. Why am I experiencing irregular heartbeats and chest pains? Im 20 years old and im 5 11 150 pounds. My heart problems occur most frequently when I eat/drink unhealthy things. such as pizza, energy drinks and pop. since then I have started eating healthier and im not experiencing the pains and the irregular heartbeats as often. however, I still get them randomly throughout the day, and now I have to be very careful with what I eat... any ideas of what the problem could be....

Getting conscious of your won heart beat is due to palpitations. Every now and then everybody feels the same in some or the other unfamiliar situations.

But if it is happening very frequently, even at rest. Then there is a cause to worry.

Why Am I Having Chest Pains? What's Causing Them?I'm 18 years old, and have been having chest pains for the past three years. It s not in one particular place, I have it mostly on the left side, and the middle, and sometimes radiates to the right side. Everytime I go to the doctor they say everythings fine which includes: the heart, lungs, breathing, etc. I always have trouble breathing when the chest pain occurs. The pain has gradually gotten worse, both in the amount of occurences, and the intensity on a scale of 1 to 10 ten being the most severe I would rate the pain as an 8 or 9. When I was around 13 or 14 years old a speacialst had sent me to a pediatric cardiologist to see if I could take some medicine. While there I had an EKG done, and the results said that one side of the heart is slower than the other and I think that s my right side, and that a normal heartbeat beats in the following order chamber 1, 2, 3, and 4. Finally, in August of 2006 when I was 17 years old I had experienced all the signs of a heart attack my dad had said that I was having one, it didn t seem like it. Help.

I am 20 years old, overweight, no known diabetes but have anxiety and depression. I am currently experiencing significant chest pain not associated with breathing, heartbeat feels loud and maybe irregular, nausea, dizziness. Unlike anxiety. The entire day today ive been nauseous and fatigued, general body pain and malaise. Had an early morning headache that improved with excedrin migraine and is gone now. What is suggested course of action?

I have been having heart palpitations at night for the past 2 weeks that wake me up out of my sleep. For the past 2 weeks I have been living on no sleep because of this and it is miserable. I have had anxiety issues in the past, but I really feel as though this is different. When sleeping I kind of feel like I "forget to breathe" and get a heart palpitation just when I'm about to doze off. I had heart palpitations 2 years ago and went to a cardiologist in which the doctor did many tests and found nothing abnormal. I have competed in athletics my entire life and am a seemingly healthy 23 year old female.

I have been having what my doctor has called palpitations for the past month, i.e. my heart has been racing unpleasantly. She suggested thyroid or anameia and I have had blood tests, am awaiting the results. Also I had an ECG which is said to show nothing untoward. I am 66 years old and female and I am concerned about the experience of heart racing. I feel as if I am anxious, frightened, and yet I know I'm not. Sometimes these effects last over half an hour, and sometimes eating sweet things sets it off.

I've been treated for heart palpitations before - I don't have them as frequently as I used to - however - on occassion it will feel as if my heart is like a fish flopping around out of water in my chest. You can see it and feel it very clearly. Yesterday it seemed to happen quite frequently. Today it seems fine. Is this something I should worry about? It doesn't seem like something normal.
