Hi, Thanks for posting your query. I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
You are having symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is a condition in which the stomach contents reflux in to the food pipe. Yes the belching and heartburn are related and they are symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease.
You need to take medications like omeprazole for relief. Also avoid coffee, citrus, fatty food, spicy food, alcohol . Avoid eating full stomach and go to bed at least 2-3 hours after food.
I hope that answers your question. Regards, Dr.R.K
