Why I Am Unable To Lose Weight?

I was born after my mother dieted during the pregnancy. I have been obese all my life with no success losing weight. I was strictly monitored for anything eaten including beverages; not allowed what childhood friends consumed without restriction. I seem to need very few calories to maintain the weight with no change even with strict exercise and diet. I gained no weight during two pregnancies without restricting caloric intake. While ill with the flu, etc. I maintain the weight even without being able to eat. Why am I unable to lose?
