When Should Blood Sugar Levels Be Tested During Pregnancy?

Hi Doctors, y wife is having a 4-month pregnancy. Her Fasting sugar level is between 120 -131 and PPBS in Range below 130. Fasting sugar level is tested within 9 hours, Please let me know ideal hours for testing fasting sugar level. Doctor suggest taking Mixtard 4 unit before going to bed to control Fasting sugar level. Please let me know your opinion.

hi. the sugar testing is done at 12 weeks. for confirmation of gestational diabetes it's better to do oral glucose challenge test. this test s done by collecting the blood after over night fasting n later u I'll be given 50 to 75 gm s of glucose following which exactly after 2 hours blood needs to be collected again. normal fasting blood glucose s below 110 and after 2 hrs it must be below 126. n also information is required if u were diabetic even befor becoming pregnant. the test s the best for diagnosing gestational diabetes. based on this the insulin can be given . thank u
