When Do Periods Begin After Taking Mifepristone?

Sir, iam 6wk early pregnant lactating mom.yesterday I consult my gynaecologist. As per her order I took tab mifepriston 3 at 8.30pm. But iam very disappointed till I have not start bleeding yet now. When my periods start. Tomorrow the time 8.30 pm I vil take tab misoprostol. Please tell me when occur my periods??

Hi,

Mifepristone and Misoprostol should be used under advise of gynecologist after confirming intrauterine pregnancy under advise of gynecologist according to low of abortion in your country. You took Mifepristone already.It does not cause induce bleeding. You have to use Misoprostol vaginally under observation of gynecologist to induce abortion. Dose and schedule will be decided by gynecologist. Bleeding will start 30-45 minutes after using Misoprostol.

Post abortion advises:

- Follow up visit at 7th day
- USG scan at 14th day to confirm complete process of abortion

Rest for 48 hours, maintain proper pelvic hygiene, eat healthy diet with iron supplements.
