I completely understand your concern for the skin color change at the chin area.
It appears that you have developed "Post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation" over the chin area.
There can be many causes for the same and most commonly is induced by sun exposure. Other than this it can be due to friction or any abrasion which gone unnoticed.
I suggest you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen lotion for two to three times per day. In m patients I suggest them to apply a skin lightening cream such as kojic acid or azelaic acid or glycolic acid formulations.
Do not try to touch or rub the area as can cause further aggravation of the condition.
All the best.
