Whats The Cause For Acne With Breast Pain & Mood Swings ?

Hi,

I stopped taking mercilon in November after being on the pill for 10 years with almost no break. over the past 2 months the acne i used to have on my forehead as a teenager has appeared, I have terrible mood swings and painful breasts.
Is this normal? How long will it take to calm down?

For many women, consumption of birth control pills is an excellent strategy to avoid acne. This is because the pills are responsible for making testosterone levels go down. But when the consumption of these contraceptives is suspended, testosterone returns to normal levels, and therefore acne returns. Also, to stop taking oral contraceptives, can be accompanied by mood swings and breast tenderness.
Once you stop taking the pills that prevented your ovulations, you'll experience what you felt before taking them. And this will not stop unless you take them again or get pregnant.
