hello,
if the hair fall is due to nutritional deficiency then it ca be prevented by taking proper nutrition like more proteins, green leafy veg, fruits, lot of water and regular excercise. avoi stress, take good sleep. In a healthy male with no obvious skin lesions on scalp ,the most common type of hair loss is ANDROGENTIC ALOPECIA(male patter baldness.so if your father has the same problem, then there is no permanent cure. only you can delay it.drugs like minoxidil is helpful. but it should be taken under guidance of dermatologist. take care
