What Treatment Is Suggested For Pulmonary TB?

Hello Sir...i've been diagnosed pulmonary tb 1 wk back...doctor has prescribed me forcox 150 mg and macox 150 mg, to be taken together,empty stomach,in morning...but after taking the medicines i hv severe itching in the whole body...is it a side effect of the medicines....my weight is 35 kg....are these medicines are correct?

pulmonary tuberculosis is treated by a combination of drugs
if someone is suffering from pulm TB for the first time he/ she should take certain medications like
rifampicin 10-15 mg per kg
isoniazid 5-10 mg per kg
ethambutol 15-20 mg per kg
pyrazinamide 25-30 mg per kg

these doses depend if you are taking alternate treatment that is under dots or unsupervised private treatment

choice of medications depend on the culture and sensitivity reports if previously treated

best thing is to consult a Pulmonologist or a tuberculosis specialist who can guide you
