What To Do If Having Sleepiness, Upset Stomach, Dizziness, Loss Of Concentration After Coming Off Lexapro?

My daughter in law has been off lexapro three months now. She was tapered off slowly and gradually by her PCP. She just told me this week she has been sleeping a lot, stomach upset, dizziness and just cannot focus at work. She did an ept test and not pregnant. What can be done about her symptoms? Please reply to YYYY@YYYY . thank you

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Dear User,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

In my view the current symptoms indicates re appearance of primary pathology foe which she was taking Lexapro. This is the time where maximum relapse occur following discontinuation of antidepressant. I assume she was taking lexapro for depression but with current symptoms she needs to assess for bipolar disorder as a cause of her past depression episode.

At this moment you need to seek help from either psychiatrist or psychologist to help her out. It is also advisable to rule out any physical condition as this is the second possibility contributing to her symptoms.
Thanks
