Are signs someone has petit mal or side effects of having petit mal when an adult things such as acting immature, anger issues, begs for things, laziness, addicted to things like soda/smoking, doesn t act well when out in society, fells entitled, plays victim/feels has to turn stuff into fight/argument, selfish, repeats things (like asking for something over and over), etc? Or is this a side effect or symptom of some other mental emotional or physical health issue? If so what ones?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The narrated symptoms are indicative of Psychosis behavior with mood alterations rather than absence seizure which is not associated with drug addiction, immature acting and else. Absence seizure is usually seen in children with staring look into the sky while at school, or intermittently during homework session for a period of 10-20 seconds, commonly associated with head frowning or blinking eyes. However, a detailed evaluation with an expert Psychiatrist is mandatory for final clinical diagnosis ahead.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
