What Should I Do If I Missed The Vein For Intravenous Injection And Now It Is Swollen ?

INTRAVEINOUS DRUG USE: Missed the vein,slight swelling,very sore ,feels like a bruise.about 3 hours ago. sterile needle.single use only.

Hi,thanks for query.When ever the drug is injected out side the vein,local reaction is bound to happen.Apply some ice on it,take analgesic for pain and swelling.It should be fine in day.If not you may need some more medicines ,please talk to your doctor.bye.
