What Should Be Done For Shortness Of Breath While Suffering From Bone Fracture?
My 85-year-old father was just in a car accident and the hospital took x-rays and did not find any broken bones. They released him but he is now complaining about shortness of breath. I’m concerned because he is having trouble breathing. What should I do?
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Get it done ECG, chest x-ray, hemoglobine status, electrolyte level. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Bone fractures of chest wall may aggravate dysnea. Pneumothorax or hematothorax may also cause this problem.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Get it done ECG, chest x-ray, ultrasound abdomen, cardia functioning status. Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Sudden onset of breathless ness may be due to pulmonary embolism or myocardial infarction or fat embolism in case of major bone fractures or infection of lung or cardiac dysfunction etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
