Hi there - I take Benicar for my HBP - however recently my diastolic pressure has been over 105 for several days, and I am experiencing severe headache and racing heart - should I see a doctor or double up on my Benicar? I was out with my kids the other day and became upset over something - the pain shot up my back to my head and it felt like my head was going to explode for days - I went to donate blood and found after 3x s taking the pressure it was consistantly 124-130 over 104 to 106. It has remained the same for days now.

For about 2 or 3 months I have been having theses symptoms. I am fine and all of a sudden I feel my heart beat in my head and my face sometimes gets flush but I get very nervous. Sometimes it goes away and sometimes it lasts for about an hour. I take my blood pressure and it is elevated some but my pulse seems to be in the normal range. I also have had about 10 places at different times that I think may be spider bites but I beginning to wonder if I have an allergy or maybe I have an underlying problem causing both. I had my thyroid checked and it is ok. I did the 24 hour urine test to see if there was a tumor on my Adrenaline Gland and it was ok. Should I see a heart doctor, dermatologist or allergy dr.

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I am 27 years old, my blood pressure stays high. Since when I was 13 years my blood pressure was found above normal range. I was over weight but growing up I reduced my weight, however wasn t able to keep out of blood pressure. To check whats wrong, had all my tests and have had them time and again, nothing is wrong all comes up OK. Still the blood pressure prevailed my readings started from 140/90 at early age and now my avg reading is 160/110 despite taking Ace Inhibitors. In case I stope medicine the reading jumps up to 190/140. It has been 6 months that I have not been feeling well have had drastic problems such as difficulty concentrating, memory problems, losing plot while speaking, slurred speach, extreme confusion and sometimes palpitations or severe pain in my head. Kindly advise what should I do to lead a normal life? It feels I m totally different, my behaviour has changed in fact nothing seems the same whilst everything around is OK. Need your expert advise

I'm a 21 yr old female having constant heart palpitations. I know what they are and what they feel like some are stronger than others but I feel them all the time. I don't have insurance so I haven't seen a cardiologist. I don't smoke, drink anything with caffeine, and only drink alcohol occasionally. Some doctors have said possible mitral valve prolapse. I'm just wondering what could be causing so many palpitations and also I have had them since I was 18 they are just getting much worse I also have chest pain just about every day.

I have been prescribed isoptin 240 ml per day as my blood pressure has been up to 165 over 93. Also I have been getting palpitation which at times last up to a couple of hours. Had a heart monitor put on . showed my heart rate going up to 114. resting at about 66. Which I know is good. the results of the monitor showed over 2000 ectopic episodes. Is this anything to worry about.

I am 74 years old and have experienced hot flushes since menopause (at age 54). I experience moderate to high blood pressure and most medications for this make my symptoms worse. I have heart palpitations during these uncomfortable symptoms, experience fatigue and have night sweats which wake me up. I have Sjoegren's Syndrome with Sicca, and Peripehral neuropathy and most other aging symptoms. I don't have dementia, thankfully, but I am curious as to whether hot flushes are impacting on my blood pressure and contributing to my anxieties or could it be caused by my thyroid? My tests show a normal reading for my thyroid. I also had cancer of the uterus, grade 1, and had everything removed nine years ago and have remained cancer free to date. I hope you can help me find a way to improve the situation as I don't have any blocked arteries or heart problems so it is a mystery to me. I am worried about the impact it may eventually have on my heart. Sincerely yours,
