What Is This Tiffa Scan & Its Procedure ?
hello doc, I am 22 years old. I am a pregnant of 20 weeks.doc advised me to get tiffa scan done on my 22 or 23 week.can u tell me why it has to be done?this is my second pregnancy .during my first issue i have not undergone tiffa scan before 3 years. What is this tiffa scan ? What is the procedure.i am not aware of this.

Your doctor must be having some reason to advise for a TIFFA Scan. It is Targeted Fetal Anomaly Scan. She may have noted some risk factor in your history or in the investigations she had asked you to do. This is like usual scan with the difference that this is done by an experienced sonologist who carefully examines each part of the fetus to see if he can detect any anomaly.
