What Is The Treatment For Swollen Feet Post Umbilical Navel Hernia Surgery?

My husband had umbilical navel hernia surgery 6 weeks ago. He is a very active man but the last 6 weeks he has been very careful and not active, we have also had terrible weather, so active has been very limited. His feet has started to swell. I told him to drink more water, any suggestion. He has mild high blood pressure but takes no medicine.

Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum.
The reasons for the swelling of the feet after the umblical hernia may be the ligation of the blood vessels during surgery, and collateral circulation is not active due to the lack of activity of the legs.
The hypertension would have in raised state, and that might be the cause.
Lack of normal exercises may also cause the swelling of feet.
I advise you to consult your doctor for the swelling, he may show you a way out.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
