Hi small white patches on the hand and dark outer hand can be pmle.tinea versicolor or vitiligo.they can be differentiated with woods lamp examination.
Pmle preants as small white patches along the exposed parts with itching whereas there is no itching part in tinea versicolor or vitiligo.hence they are ruled out.
It can be treated by application of sunscreen on exposed parts in the morning and application of plane steriod rather than dipsalic like exel ointment in the night and with supplementation of iron can cure the condition.
