What Is The Treatment For Recurring Cough Of A 5 Year Old?

my son was born in 2011 June and when he born he effected the phemnoni after treatment he cough daily. doctors says that he will be normal after 5 years now no need to take madician. but im worried about see his cough. kindly tell me the reason of his cough and treatent also

hi,welcome to healthcare magic.as your baby had pneumonia at the time of birth.the cause of cough is infection in chest.so no need to worry much.whenever he gets cough and cold you give him syrup-avil 6ml once daily with syrup-roxid 6ml twice daily.if he gets fever you can add syrup-calpol 6ml twice daily.but you should b careful wen he will get breathing problem and all.then consult a pediatrician as soon as possible.bt if you will start the treatment in very beginning he will be alright.noneed to worry much.
