What Is The Treatment For Itching Spots On Arms And Legs?

What does the skin effects look like if maybe gluten free? I have have very itching spots on arms and legs below knee. I scratch them until they bleed. I know that I should not but it is so intense and I didn t know how good it could feel to scratch something. They never heal. I resist scratching, and they start to look like they are healing. But never do. I have used Benadryl, hydrocortisone cream, neosporin, lotrimin. They feel hard underneath. They never form a hard scab, just a flaky covering. What could it be?I have had these for at least a year, not being able to wear anything but pants. I love going to beach, pool, lake, but this is 2nd summer that I have not been able to wear swim suit in public.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itching spots on arms and legs which is very common as dirt and moisture get trapped by your clothing and the friction that comes from sitting can cause pimple. It could be due to blockage of sebaceous glands leading to folliculitis or boils. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep this area clean and dry. If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor will examine physically along with blood test and sample for lab test. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants , antibiotics like clindamycin , anti inflammatory or anti fungal . Doctor may also prescribe benzoyl peroxide ointment. You should apply cream containing azelaic acid and apply cold compresses with soaked towel to reduce the redness and itchiness and apply vitamin C serum at night.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
