What Is The Treatment For Celiac Disease?

my GI doc has tested me an I have cieliac deisease so im on a gluten free diet im about 70% gluten free ive seen him for about 1 an 1/2 yrs now but ever since my 1st blood test two of my liver enzymes are high an still are the last blood wrk they are a lil higher then the last time so he has me getting another blood test done an have to fast for 12hrs I hardly drink maybe have 3 beers once a month why could they be high

Thanks for asking query on HCM. You are suffering from celiac disease. But I did not understand when you say 70% gluten free!!, you need to be 100%. Coming to your question on altered liver function test - although you have not mentioned about the serial values - there are many causes for it in a patient with celiac disease. It could just be a part of celiac disease itself without any cause and if so will improve on its own with gluten free diet. Other causes are - autoimmune hepatitis, PSC, non-cirrhotic portal fibrosis or gall stone related. You need adequate evaluation from your gastroenterologist or liver specialist. Please stop alcohol as it can aggravate any problem underlying. I cant predict any cause because I dont know your LFT.
