What Is The Tingling Pain After Cataract?

i am from chennai in India. I am 73. I had cataract done and iol implanted by phaco.
It is 6 weeks now,

I have obeyed surgeons instruction of instilling eye-drops including
prednisoone and taperd down the dosage as instructed,

Now no drops.
Only now I am starting to have some very very mild problem
Now and then a tingling pain appears , I am forced to spit
small qty of phlem. After caughing out I feel fine.

If i apply eye drops I feel comfortable.
Is it that the eye requires to be kept moist?
my vision is good

My fear is the symptoms should not agravate.

Hello
It seems from the history that you have underwent cataract surgery, phacoemulsification with iol implantation.
The tingling sensation may be because of dryness because of cataract surgery. This will improve with wound healing hence no need to worry.
Since you have used the eye drops for 6 weeks no need to worry, now you can use artificial tears eye drops for relief of symptoms.

Thank you
