What Is The Survival Chance After Heart Attack With Abnormal Lung Function?

My best friend s dad just had a heart attack two nights ago. He was in the shower and when the heart attack hit, he fell and hit his head. The hospital has cooled down his body and put him into a medically induced coma. He was supposed to start being warmed up last night at midnight, but they were unable to do so as his lungs weren t functioning properly. What is the liklihood of survival in this situation?

HI,welcome to HCM.
The likelihood of survival in patients with heart attack associated with head injury and altered liver function is very low.The average rate of survival is only 20-30%.Hypothermia can help to improve the chances of survival.Medically induced coma can help to reduce the metabolic activity of the brain.Glassgow coma scale when used in this patient can accurately predict the survival outcome.Consult you doctor in case of further need.
Thank you
