Hi there I was doing star jumps and felt slight discomfort in my knee. There is no pain what so ever, however there seems to now be a soft lump almost spongy on the lower outside of my knee near the patella. The lump becomes obvious when doing knee flexion
This lump can be a cyst connected with the joint and filled with joint fluid or varicose vein. Both cyst and varicose vein are soft and usually painless. Varicose vein can disappear when the leg is rise up. Varicose veins have vein like color. Cyst is colorless. I suggest you to consult general surgeon or orthopedist with this issue. Cyst can be removed. If its varicose vein, Dopplers ultrasound should be done.
Hope this will help. Regards.
