What Is The Settling Period For A Newly Placed Contraceptive?

Hi, I am a 44 year old women who had the marina put in on the 22 January 2013, had period on the 22nd feb, come march have spotted on and off the got 1st period on the 21st march, I ve read it takes 6 months for the marina to a just in your system, is this all normal, for me I like to keep a track of my cycle. And can it eventually stop my monthly,s all together.

Marina will take 6 month to one years to start to act completely. For some women its stops periods complete.
