What Is The Remedy For Recurring Boils On The Scalp Of A Baby ?

My 7months old daughter has boils on her head,I gave her anti biotics,it went away and the boils came back again after one week.what do I do next,plz help

Welcome to HCM
First of all I would like to inform you that scalp hygiene is the most important thing for scalp infection.Boil is infection caused by the bacteria can occur various part of the body surfaces.In infancy extra care should be taken for scalp hygiene.In healthy scalp no oil should be applied over scalp rather baby shampoo should be used.In unhealthy scalp medicated shampoo(with ketakonazole) may be used with doctor's advice.This is a prevention for further bacterial infection.
So please consult your pediatrician for best solution.

Hai, You have to give the course of antibiotics a little long ,say 7-10 days. Then cleaning properly after toiletting and also in very sultry climates. You can also try to use very mild antiseptic soaps with lunar silver etc. Your child will free from this nuisance. Dr SM
