my mom is 68yrs old & is now diagnosed with TB.Her value in gold test for tb came to be 16. She had her bypass surgery done 3 yrs before & is not doing well from dat tym.she is diabetic too 7 nowadays is on high insulin dat is 12 to 14 units of insulin everyday.she is also suffering from high BP too.I want to know till wat tym of treatment is dis TB infectious & how long will it take for her to recover from dis disease.till now she has very li'l strength & will she be perfectly ok or not

First of all TB is not diagnosed based only on TB gold test . It is a combined clinical and investigation findings .
A patient of TB will becomes non infectious ( Non Contagious is a proper term ) after taking 3-4 days of treatment . How long it takes to recover from the disease depends of many factors .
1. Duration for which she has suffered TB . 2. Extent of damage suffered from TB . 3. Her Nutritional status. 4. Her Blood sugar levels . 5. Her Physical Activity .
I request you to upload the test reports used in making the diagnosis of TB and also her recent test reports so that I can go through it and help you better .
