Hello,
The reason for
irregular periods is commonly due to hormonal imbalances, anemia, poor general health condition, PID,
ovarian disease, cysts, polyps, fibroids or
endometriosis, etc. Certain medications, birth control methods and addictions or
substance abuse, obesity, anemia, thyroid issues, stress, etc., can also cause changes in your system. You are suggested to stay away from addictions of any kind. Take home made well balanced food that is nutrition and rich in iron, calcium,
folic acid, minerals and protein. You can also take supplements.
Improve your general health condition. If obese, do regular exercises and walking. Maintain healthy weight. Stay away from stress, anxiety and stay well hydrated. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get investigations done to detect the factor/pathology causing you discomfort. You may need HRT or any other treatment. You will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
