What Is The Reason For Chronic Cough And Breathlessness?
Hi! I have had a chronic cough for months. The cough brings up lots of clear mucus. And last for a minuet or two until I am worn out.
I had all the test and x-rays. All are normal. NO asthma symptoms of shortness of breath or wheezing. Nothing conventional has worked. I took an herbal remedy of Super Tonic and Lung by Dr. Schultz's. It worked for a while then the cough came back, And the remedy is not working anymore. The cough is always accompanied with loads of clear mucus. To make matters worst , Now I throw-up if I cough after eating. Not the entire dinner but a portion. I've tried everything for post nasal drip. I drink honey to sooth my throat. The cough has ruined my singing voice. What do I do???

As you mentioned that you didn't having asthma because there is no any symptoms like wheezing or breathlessness . But there is cough from months, nasal drip ( very irritating ) , sore throat (as throat is not clear). You also mentioned that clear fluid or mucus come out with cough . I want to tell you one thing that asthma is not a disease but a symptom . Post nasal drip , cough , mucus, sore throat all are an indication of allergy . These symptoms may be due to sinusitis accompanied by allergic bronchitis . When such type of patient visit in my clinic I advise them to take monteleukast+ bambuterole combination pack once in the night till complete relief. It might also help to take dextromethorphan +ambrozol+chlorapheniramine maleat syrup .
I also advise to take dextromehophan lonzes for local soothing of throat.
Since these are prescription drugs , so get the help of a physician.
Avoid contact with hay, fine dusting powder, mold , pollen , smoking ( smokes ) , humidity , sudden fall & rise of temperature.
Hot coffee , steam inhalation also provide relief.
