What Is The Purpose Of This Medication?

Hello Doctor, I am 25 yrs old and recently married for 5 months. Recently when got tested for Urine Pregnancy test, it was a positive result. And doctor prescribed 1. Eugest 200(once a day) 2. rudimin+ (once a day) 3. folvite . Doctor wanted these mdeicines to be continued for 2 weeks.
Request your opinion and recomedations , as I am in my 5 week. ****** Thanks ********.

Hi,
Congratulations on your pregnancy. Eugest is micronized progesterone, Rudimin is mecobalamine and folvite contains folic acid. Progesterone is used in maintenance of pregnancy and is needed when there is a suspected corpus luteal defect or hormonal insufficiency. The rest of vitamin supplements used to prevent neural tube defects in the baby and can be used safely. As per the use of progesterone, you may ask your doctor if it is really needed.
