What Is The Permanent Treatment For Acidity?

I have acidity problem from past 1 and a half year. I consulted a doctor which prescribed me omeprezole capsules for a month but few weeks later after the medicines were discontinued the problem came back.Sometimes I still take this medicine once or twice a week as it makes me feel better but I need some permanent solution to this problem if u could suggest some. I have noticed that the day I eat bread/biscuits or anu outside food the problem tend to increase and sometimes I have this acid reflux even when i eat healthy.

I'm very sorry for that.acid peptic disease is one of most common cause of frequent opd visit and cause of morbidity . Their are certain important reasons for that such as use of medication especially NSAIDs that are painkillers . Stress smoking alcohol spicy food all aggrevates this .One bacteria named H.pylori is very common cause of it.so for complete treatment of acidity cause has to be ascertained . Avoid alcohol smoking and painkillers . Get H pylori test done if it comes to be positive then take complete 2 weeks course of H pylori kit to eradicate it completely . At least 6 to 8 weeks therapy of PPI in complete dose is required . If still not treated then UGI endoscopy is must to rule out other causes such as gastric ulcer or tumours . Hope this will help.
