What Is The Painful Lump On Pubic Area?

I am 36 years old with 3 children. I have a non painful lump that has come up on the top left side of my pubic area. Sometimes it seems more noticeable than others. It is not hard to the touch-- I do have a doctors appt scheduled but was just looking for some more info as to what this might be.

Hi! don't worry the doctor appointment will be uneventful or tensionless...

In fact, this is quite a common clinical presentation and almost everyday we see such cases and we confirm it by needle biopsy; the diagnoses come as follows:

1. inclusion cysts in 80% cases

2. papilloma, neurofibroma, skin tags/lipoma in 10 % cases

3. normal lymph nodes, folliculitis or dermatofibroma in 7 % cases

4. tuberculosis or abscess in 2% cases

5. malignancy in 1% cases

Therefore please see your doctor without any tension and give him the detailed history if any injury/local skin infection/itching etc ..

regards,
