What Is The Pain In My Lung?

Hi, I was admitted the 5th March with pain at my left side. I had a kidney stone and had ureteroscopy the 7th March and came home the 8th March. I don t believe I had a stent done. I am not on any medication since being home. At the hospital I was only on antibiotics. Urine has not quite cleared yet - but I m passing it OK with not much discomfort. I m drinking plenty of water. I haven t exactly been sleeping great whilst in hospital (the guy beside me was snoring incredibly :-)). My sleep is getting better since being home. I took my temperature in my armpit - 36.4 degree C. My blood pressure is 126/77 and pulse is 66. My blood pressure is normally a bit higher than that - i.e. around 144/84. I walk around the house or sit down using my PC. I have a couple of observations as follows: 1. I feel I can only move around quite slowly. 2. Sometimes I feel a small pain at the top of my left lung - just comes and goes quickly again. 3. A bit of a headache. 4. Generally feel a bit slowed down. Should I be concerned about any of the above - or is it just part of recovering from this type of operation? Thanks,

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

After any operation where general anesthesia been given, the post-operative spirometry is at most important because it can lead to hypoventilation and problem like that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
